A new approach to a better golf swing
A new approach to a better golf swing
The unique sensor technology developed by stappone offers innovative solutions for gait and motion analysis – and it is now entering a new territory: the golf course! Recently, this advanced technology has been implemented at GOSWO – Healthier and Better Golf in Nonnweiler, Germany. GOSWO founder Daniel Lauer is launching an exciting new study aimed at optimizing performances in the game of golf.
When high-tech meets handicap
More than 400,000 golfers in Germany suffer from foot misalignments – a commonly underestimated issue that affects not only posture and movement but also athletic performance. Daniel Lauer is optimistic: “With stappone soles, golfers could not only stand and walk better – they could also play better.”
Real-time data for healthy and efficient movement
The stappone sensor sole is more than just an orthotic insert – it’s a certified medical device that captures real-time data and provides valuable insights into the full range of motion. What was once used primarily in rehabilitation and clinical contexts is now being adapted for sports – supporting joint-friendly, muscle-efficient movement that aligns with the needs of today’s athletes.
Teamwork for a better performance
The project is accompanied by multiple partners: @medicumrae, sports scientist Roland Lange and the orthopedic specialists at @rahm.gmbh. Together, they are working on how precise movement tracking and gait analysis, using stappone technology, can help reduce pain and improve athletic performances like a golfer´s handicap.
Technology that moves
For Peter Krimmer, CEO of stappone, the collaboration with GOSWO represents a significant step forward: “Daniel Lauer takes a holistic, health-focused approach to golf, placing strong emphasis on joint- and muscle-friendly movements. Our sensor soles could be the ideal tool to bring athletic performance and long-term health into perfect harmony – even on the golf course.”
