stappone & KineMo: The Future of Motion Analysis

Motion analysis is becoming increasingly simpler, more mobile and more precise. This is exactly where the collaboration between stappone and KineMo comes in: by combining intelligent pressure-sensing insoles with markerless motion analysis, movements and loads could soon be recorded simultaneously – quickly, efficiently and without complex laboratory equipment. Initial joint testing with Austrian decathlon national champion Niklas Voss already demonstrates the enormous potential of this technology.

Motion Analysis Without the Need for a Laboratory

With its intelligent pressure-sensing insoles, stappone offers a modern solution for analyzing load distribution, movement patterns, and biomechanical parameters in real time. The systems support athletes, coaches, and therapists in evaluating movement based on data, without complicated setups or lengthy preparation times.

The major advantage lies in its ease of use: no cables, no laboratory environment, and maximum flexibility during everyday training. This makes motion analysis not only more precise, but also far more practical for real-world application.

The Combination with KineMo

The technology becomes particularly exciting through its collaboration with KineMo. The system enables markerless motion analysis using a smartphone, providing rapid insights into movement patterns during various exercises. The combination of both systems opens up new possibilities: While KineMo delivers kinematic data (=information about movement sequences and joint angles), the pressure‑measuring insoles from stappone complement this with kinetic data such as pressure distribution, load and force transmission. This creates a comprehensive movement analysis that can offer valuable insights for elite sports, rehabilitation, injury prevention and athletic training.

Practical Testing with Niklas Voss

One of the highlights of the collaboration so far has been the joint testing sessions with Niklas Voss, Austrian national champion in the decathlon. The elite athlete was particularly impressed by the system’s ease of use: “During my studies, I already worked with other systems. That made me even more impressed by how straightforward the technology from stappone and KineMo is. No cable clutter, quick setup and immediately meaningful data,” describes Niklas Voss about his experience.

Especially in high-performance sports, systems must not only work precisely but also be ready for use within seconds. This is exactly one of the greatest strengths of the combination of stappone and KineMo.

Looking Ahead

The collaboration is already attracting scientific interest as well. Discussions are currently underway regarding potential research projects in Ireland that will examine the interaction between both systems in greater detail.

For stappone, one thing is clear: the future of motion analysis lies in intelligent, mobile, and user-friendly solutions, directly where movement actually takes place.
