How can STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medica<\/a>l<\/a> <\/i>be used in practice? Based on a live physiotherapy session with hemophilia patient Dr. Rene H\u00fcttenbrenner, physiotherapist J\u00fcrgen Ableitner from the practice Competence in Motion (CIM) in Graz (AUT), provides an insight into the use of the intelligent stapp<\/i>\u200a<\/span>one sensor soles.<\/i><\/p>\n

Today hemophilia patient Dr. Rene H\u00fcttenbrenner can walk again without pain – something he does not take for granted. The hereditary disease hemophilia causes arthrosis in the joints, resulting in pain, swelling and often also the need for artificial joints. This was also the case for Dr. H\u00fcttenbrenner. After an ankle joint transplantation and physiotherapy with stapp\u200a<\/span>one sensor soles, he now enjoys a pain-free life.<\/p>\n

STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medical<\/a>\u00a0 for the practice<\/b><\/p>\n

stapp\u200a<\/span>one\u2019s principle and application is very simple: The intelligent sensor soles are inserted into comfortable shoes and measure the patient’s foot pressure load. The corresponding medical software provides visual live biofeedback to a PC or tablet, as well as objective data on other relevant gait parameters (stance phase, swing phase, cadence, etc). Gait analyses can therefore be performed cost-effectively and independent of location – even outdoors.<\/p>\n

STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medica<\/a>l<\/a>\u00a0 is also a valuable tool to help patients correctly perform physiotherapeutic exercises. They can use the live biofeedback to check and correct themselves and gain a better feeling for their body.<\/p>\n

Especially hemophilia patients, like Dr. H\u00fcttenbrenner, benefit from the objective visualization.<\/p>\n

Visualize therapy progress<\/b><\/p>\n

The physiotherapy practice Competence in Motion uses a STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medica<\/a>l<\/a> product case with 12 pairs of sensor soles of different sizes with the corresponding software. The patient\u2019s gait is recorded with STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medica<\/a>l<\/a>\u00a0and analyzed by different gait parameters to record and visualize the current status.<\/p>\n

After each therapy session STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medica<\/a>l<\/a>\u00a0creates a report, which can then be compared with previous reports. Even the smallest progress can be objectively visualized and tracked. This has a motivating effect on the patients and therefore also a positive effect on the entire course of therapy.<\/p>\n

However, gait analysis with STAPP\u200a\u200aONE Medica<\/a>l<\/a>\u00a0is a valuable tool not only in rehabilitation, but also in prevention. Anomalies and changes in the gait pattern can be detected and treated at an early stage.<\/p>\n
