Every year, Bayer Pharma awards the PHILOS Public Prize<\/a> for a collaborative project that improves the life quality people with haemophilia.\u00a0 <\/i>This year the h\u00e4mophilia association germany (IGH https:\/\/www.igh.info\/<\/a>) won the prize with stapp\u200aone.<\/i><\/p>\n

Already used for gait analyses of haemophilia patients, stapp\u200aone \u2019s sensor sole technology provides\u00a0a rapid status assessment of the movement pattern\u00a0of individuals with haemophilia.\u00a0Regular\u00a0observation of movement patterns is crucial for treating this disease, as bleeding\u00a0often\u00a0occurs\u00a0in the\u00a0musculoskeletal\u00a0system\u00a0and can severely impair patient\u2019s long-term health.<\/p>\n

In September 2020 the h\u00e4mophilia association germany (IGH https:\/\/www.igh.info\/<\/a>) won the PHILOS audience award with the product stapp\u200aone.\u00a0The cooperation project “Sensor-based gait analysis & functional training for haemophiliacs” had the following goal:<\/p>\n

In cooperation with Physio-Med, project initiators Sabine and Christian\u00a0Schepperle\u00a0worked\u00a0with\u00a0stapp\u200aone\u00a0sensor soles to\u00a0get deeper insights about the technology. The simple and easy use of\u00a0stapp\u200aone\u00a0was a big advantage.\u00a0The sensor soles are placed effortlessly in a comfortable shoe\u00a0and the\u00a0gait analysis\u00a0can\u00a0be initiated\u00a0with the support of the\u00a0stapp\u200aone\u00a0Medical software.\u00a0In this way, incorrect strain and functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system can be quickly detected. By analysing\u00a0objective\u00a0data,\u00a0long-term damage to the\u00a0musculoskeletal\u00a0system\u00a0or\u00a0haemophilic\u00a0arthropathy\u00a0(“haemophiliac joint”)\u00a0can\u00a0be prevented. This information can then be used to\u00a0develop\u00a0individual\u00a0therapy plans or\u00a0insoles with active foot support for haemophilia patients.<\/p>\n

The PHILOS Audience Award 2020<\/a> from Bayer\u00a0Pharma\u00a0is further proof of how\u00a0the\u00a0stapp\u200aone\u00a0technology\u00a0can improve\u00a0the quality of life\u00a0of patients.<\/p>\n
